I don’t usually comment but I think it’s great that metro Detroit is getting some new restaurants and bars to try out 🍴👌. Gardenside Brewing sounds like a really cool spot, all that craft beer and farm-to-table food should be pretty tasty 🤤. And I love that Joe Louis Southern Kitchen is expanding, they have such good brunch spots already, can’t wait for the new location 😋.

I’m also curious about Medusa Cucina Siciliana, I love trying new cuisines, especially from Italy and the Mediterranean 🍝🌊. Bev's Bagels in Ann Arbor sounds like a great addition too, I need to get back there more often 🤦‍♀️.

It’s always exciting when chain restaurants come to town but Waka by Baobab Fare is actually one of those local spots that I’ve been wanting to try out for ages 👌. And Supino Pizzeria expanding into the suburbs is cool, love their pizza even if I am a bit too lazy to venture out 😂.

Overall, it seems like 2026 is going to be a great year for foodies in metro Detroit 🎉

And what makes Detroit's Core City neighborhood need another brewery, can't we just support the ones already here?

Also, Joe Louis Southern Kitchen is expanding? 🤷‍♀️ How big are these new locations gonna be compared to their current spots and will they even offer anything different? They're already a local brunch chain, so it feels like they're just branching out.

And I'm curious about Medusa Cucina Siciliana... has anyone seen this place before? Is it really from Italy or is that just a marketing gimmick? And what's with the seafood menu? Are they gonna be sourcing all their seafood locally or relying on imports?

just saw that they're opening up waka by baobab fare in eastern market! been hearing so much about baobab fare and can't wait to try their east african food 🤤 i love that they're bringing some new flavors to the area, and it's awesome they're taking over the old russell street deli spot. hope it doesn't get lost in all the other restaurants popping up in the area
 
Ugh, all this new stuff is comin' outta nowhere! First thing I remember doin' with my buddies was headin' to the old Loui's Backyard on Woodward for a plate of nachos and a cold one. Now they're gonna be downtown? Gardenside Brewing, yeah I've heard of 'em, but I don't know if I wanna deal with all that fancy-schmancy food. And what's up with Sunda New Asian comin' in from Chicago? Can't we keep our own stuff?! But hey, at least Supino Pizzeria is stickin' to the basics... 31201 Southfield Rd though, that's a ways outta Beverly Hills
