While Mexican Bands Get Banned For Glorifying Banditos, Rappers Get Richer From It

It's so unfair 🤯!! Like, I'm not even surprised that YoungBoy Never Broke Again got a pardon from Trump after pleading guilty to some serious crimes... it just goes to show how different things are in the US compared to Mexico 🤷‍♂️. And Lil Wayne being pardoned for his gang ties? That's just wild 🚀. Meanwhile, Mexican artists are literally being banned from performing in the US over lyrics that are barely more than what American rappers get away with 🙄. It's like, can't we all just have a conversation about the power of music without the government breathing down our necks? 🎵 The double standard is EVERYWHERE 🤦‍♂️, and it needs to change ASAP 💪

🤔 I'm all over this double standard thing. It's wild that American rappers like YoungBoy Never Broke Again get a free pass while Mexican artists are getting their visas revoked for similar lyrics. Like, what even is the difference? Both are just expressing themselves in some way. And don't even get me started on Lil Wayne getting pardoned from a felony conviction despite being open about his ties to the Bloods gang - that's just insane. 🤯

And you're right, it's not just music industry specific. I mean, have you seen what's happening with those Russian street musicians who play banned songs? It's like, can't they just play their own music without getting arrested? 🎸 The line between artistic expression and incitement to violence is way blurred in some places.

I don't think it's fair that Mexican artists are being treated differently just because of their nationality. They're still human beings who want to express themselves through art, and they shouldn't be held back by the government. 🌎 It's all about finding a balance between free speech and not inciting harm. Easy for me to say, but I think it's time we started holding our leaders accountable for these kinds of double standards. 💪

I'm making a diagram 🤔🎵

_ US
| | American Rappers
| | (no issue with cartel culture)
| |_________
| | Visa revoked from Julón Álvarez
|_______|_____ Mexican Artists
| | Glorifying cartel culture, but
| | no problem for US rappers
| |
| _______ _______
| | | | |
| | cartel | | cartel |
| | culture | | culture |
| | (no issue) | | (issue) |
| |_________| |_________|

I'm thinking that maybe, the US government has a different approach to handling lyrics from American rappers vs Mexican artists. I mean, just look at Julón Álvarez's situation 🤯 - his visa was revoked because of some songs he performed, but then what about all the American rappers who have gotten away with similar lyrics? It doesn't seem right 🙅‍♂️
