Philadelphia Museum of Art Contemporary Craft Show returns Nov. 7-9

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is set to host its annual Contemporary Craft Show from November 7-9 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. This year's event will bring together 195 artists representing 13 categories of contemporary craft and design, offering attendees a unique opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind pieces.

Showcasing an impressive range of skills, from ceramics and glass to wearable art and furniture, this year's show highlights the innovative work of makers across America. Each artist has created their own original piece, with all proceeds going directly to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. This means that artists will receive 100% of their sales revenue, providing a vital source of income for them.

The event also benefits local arts initiatives and organizations, thanks in part to the support of sponsors and ticket holders. In total, the museum has received over $15 million in funding from this show since its inception nearly five decades ago. These funds have helped advance exhibitions, programs, publications, and acquisitions at the museum, further solidifying its reputation as a leading institution for art and culture.

Throughout the weekend, attendees will be able to participate in several special events, including an interactive presentation on scarf styling titled "Fit to Be Tied" and a fashion event featuring sustainable, handcrafted apparel from exhibiting artists called "Find Your Style".

Ugh, I'm so down for this show πŸŽ¨πŸ‘—, but can they please make it more than 3 days long? Like, who has that kind of energy to attend an art show every weekend for a whole year? And why do the artists have to create new pieces just for this event? Don't get me wrong, I love supporting local makers and all, but what about their regular work? Are they just going to put everything on hold for a few days in November?

And omg, the events sound amazing though! 🀩 "Fit to Be Tied" sounds like so much fun, I've always wanted to learn how to tie a perfect scarf knot. And sustainable fashion is literally my spirit animal. But, like, can we please have more of those kinds of events? You know, ones that promote creativity and sustainability without being tied to some big event or thing? πŸ€”

Omg I'm so stoked for the Philadelphia Museum of Art Contemporary Craft Show!!! 🀩 Like, who doesn't love unique handmade pieces?! It's amazing that all proceeds go directly to the museum and benefit local arts initiatives. The fact that artists get 100% of their sales revenue is literally a game-changer for them.

I'm also hyped about the special events they have planned, like "Fit to Be Tied" and "Find Your Style". I need to check out this scarf styling presentation ASAP πŸ§₯‍♀️! And sustainable fashion? Yes, please! πŸ’š It's gonna be a blast at the show. Can't wait to browse through all the amazing art and support some awesome makers.

I think this Contemporary Craft Show is super cool! The fact that 100% of the sales revenue goes directly to the artists is amazing - it's like they're getting paid for their work without any hassle. And I love how the museum has partnered with local arts initiatives, that's just so awesome 🀩. It's a win-win situation for everyone involved. Plus, the special events sound like so much fun! I mean, who wouldn't want to learn about scarf styling or wear sustainable handcrafted apparel? The fact that this event has raised over $15 million is pretty impressive too - it shows how dedicated the Philadelphia Museum of Art is to supporting local artists and arts initiatives.

OMG, you guys! 🀩 I'm so down for the Philadelphia Museum of Art's Contemporary Craft Show this year! 195 artists, 13 categories, and all those one-of-a-kind pieces? That's like a treasure hunt! πŸ’Ž I love that each artist gets to keep 100% of their sales revenue - it's like they're getting paid for sharing their talents with the world. And can you imagine attending an event that supports local arts initiatives and orgs too? 🀝 It's all about spreading the love and community vibes, right? Plus, scarf styling presentation and a fashion event featuring sustainable handcrafted apparel? I'm sold! πŸ’– Can't wait to see what creative masterpieces will be on display this November! 😍

I'm so down for this year's Contemporary Craft Show πŸŽ¨πŸ‘. I mean, can you think of anything more exciting than stumbling upon an original piece of wearable art or furniture that someone just spent years perfecting? The fact that all the proceeds go directly to the artists is pure genius - it's like a win-win situation for everyone involved! πŸ’Έ Plus, supporting local arts initiatives and organizations feels really good for the community vibe 🌈. And with all these special events, I'm sure it's gonna be a super fun weekend too 😊. Let's hope it breaks some records and raises even more cash for the museum... $15 million is already awesome! πŸ’₯

πŸ€— I'm so stoked that Philly's got another awesome craft show comin' up at the Convention Center! Been goin' there for years and it's always a highlight of my holiday season. The fact that 195 talented artists are gettin' to shine is just incredible - all those unique pieces, like, you won't find 'em anywhere else πŸŽ¨πŸ‘—. And I love how the proceeds go straight to the museum, so we're supportin' both the artists and our local arts scene at the same time. That's just the way it should be πŸ’–. Plus, gettin' to check out some of those fashion shows? Yaaas, can't wait to see what kinda sustainable style magic happens πŸŒΏπŸ‘—

I'm loving this idea of an all-artist sale where the artist gets 100% of their sales revenue πŸ€‘. It's like a big ol' party for creatives! And I gotta say, the fact that it benefits local arts initiatives too is just the icing on the cake πŸŽ‚. It's great to see organizations like the Philly Museum of Art using events like this to give back to the community and support local talent.

I've been going to this show every year for years now, and it always blows my mind by how talented these artists are 🀯. I mean, have you seen the stuff they can do with glass and ceramics? It's like magic! And the prices aren't too bad either - I've found some real gems over the years that I just couldn't live without 😍.

I'm also stoked to see them having events like "Fit to Be Tied" and "Find Your Style" πŸŽ‰. Fashion and art are just two of my favorite things, so it's always exciting to see them come together in a fun way. Can't wait for this year's show!

πŸ€” I'm not sure what's more impressive - the amount of money those artists will be making after all the proceeds go straight to them or that the museum has managed to scrape together so much cash over the years. It's crazy to think about how far back it goes, nearly 50 years now! πŸ•°οΈ They must've found some amazing art pieces back then too. I mean, have you seen their online store? So many cool things... I'm definitely not one of those artists myself, but it's always fun to buy something unique and support the arts. And that scarf styling event sounds like a blast! πŸ˜‚

idk about this show, i mean i think its gonna be cool but at the same time it might just be another tourist trap. like, 195 artists is already a lot so how can they guarantee that everything on display will actually be good? and what if people just end up buying stuff cuz its 'local' or whatever?

but on the other hand, i love the fact that all proceeds go directly to the Philly Museum of Art! thats really awesome. and i guess having special events like scarf styling and sustainable fashion can make it more interesting for attendees... but wont those just be a bunch of overpriced nonsense?

🎨 The Contemporary Craft Show is just another example of the government's funding priorities gone awry. I mean, $15 million over nearly five decades? That's a lot of money that could be being invested in our nation's infrastructure or education system instead of art programs. But hey, at least the artists are getting 100% of their sales revenue, which is a win for them. πŸ’Έ However, what about the opportunity cost? What else could those funds have been used for? And don't even get me started on the tax implications – do the sponsors and ticket holders know how much they're actually contributing to the arts vs. lining the pockets of the museum's administrators? πŸ€‘

I'm so stoked about this year's Contemporary Craft Show at the Philly Museum of Art 🀩! Not only are they showcasing some insane talent from across America, but it's also amazing that all proceeds go directly to the artists. I mean, who wouldn't want to support someone creating something with their own two hands and receiving 100% of the cash? πŸ’Έ Plus, it's great to see local arts initiatives and orgs getting a boost too - it's all about giving back to the community 🌟 And, can we talk about how awesome is the sound of "Fit to Be Tied" with scarf styling and sustainable fashion events? I'm def gonna try to attend this show if I can make it work - it sounds like so much fun! πŸ˜„

😊 I'm so down for this! An art show that supports local arts initiatives is just what we need more of in our community. I love how the money goes directly to the artists, it's like a win-win situation 🀩. And who wouldn't want to shop from unique, handmade pieces? It's like you're buying a piece of history or something πŸ’•. I'm definitely going to check out that scarf styling event and maybe even pick up some new style inspiration πŸ‘—. It's always amazing to see what talented people can come up with in their free time 🎨. Can't wait to hit the show and support a great cause ❀️!

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is hosting their Contemporary Craft Show again and I'm hyped! πŸŽ¨πŸ‘ Did you know that last year's show had over 140k attendees and generated $8.2 million in revenue for local arts initiatives? That's a pretty sweet deal for the community! πŸ€‘ Also, the museum has received over 45% of its annual budget from this event, which is crazy to think about. 100% of artist sales also goes directly to them, that's super fair! πŸ’Έ What I'm most excited about though is the "Find Your Style" fashion event - sustainable handcrafted apparel? Yes, please! 🌿

Omg I'm so excited for this event 🀩! The Philadelphia Museum of Art is literally one of my fave places in the US. They always have such cool exhibits & events πŸŽ¨πŸ‘. I love that 195 artists are coming together to show off their unique talents - it's gonna be so inspiring to see all those creative pieces in one place πŸ’‘. And that they're supporting local arts initiatives is just amazing πŸ™Œ. Plus, the scarf styling event sounds like so much fun πŸ˜‚πŸ‘—. Can't wait to go & check out "Find Your Style" with my friends πŸ‘«πŸ’–!

I'm so stoked about this Contemporary Craft Show at the Philly Museum of Art 🎨πŸ’₯! 195 artists showing off their unique talents is just mind-blowing. I mean, can you imagine scoring a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art or furniture that's gonna make your friends green with envy πŸ˜‚? And the best part is that all proceeds go straight to the museum and the artists themselves - talk about supporting local talent! πŸ’Έ It's not just about buying cool stuff, but also giving back to the community. Plus, I heard there's some awesome events lined up, like scarf styling and a sustainable fashion show πŸŽ€πŸ’ƒπŸ» can't wait to check it out in November!

Ugh πŸ€• November is coming and you know what that means... flu season is gonna be a nightmare 😷. And just when we thought the cost of living was already too high, I saw an article saying rent prices are increasing again 🚨. Meanwhile, all this good news about the Contemporary Craft Show in Philly... artists making money from their own work? That's nice, but what about us who can't afford art πŸ€”. Also, didn't we learn anything from Black Friday last year? πŸ›οΈ All these sales and shopping events just lead to more waste and stress πŸ’Έ. Guess I'll have to attend the show with a critical eye...

I'm so down for this! The fact that 100% of the sales revenue goes directly to the artists is just amazing πŸ™Œ. I mean, can you think of any other art show where that's the case? It's like the museum is saying, 'Hey, we trust our artists and their abilities, let's support them.' And it's not just about the artists, but also about giving back to the community and supporting local arts initiatives 🀝. I love how they're hosting these fun events too, like that scarf styling thing - who wouldn't want to learn some cool styling tips? πŸ’‡β€β™€οΈ. It's a great reminder that art is supposed to be for everyone, not just for a select few. Can't wait to check it out!
